About this event

This is a field watching tour where participants follow the climbing trail to Oyama, the main peak of Tateyama, exploring glacial landforms and viewing Japan's first discovered glaciers. While listening to commentary from curators of the Tateyama Caldera Sabo Museum, you can observe glacial topography and experience the majestic nature of Tateyama. The tour includes chartered bus fare, guide fees, and lunch. Meeting and dismissal are available at either Toyama Station or the Tateyama Caldera Sabo Museum. Eligible participants are third-grade elementary school students and older, and wearing a helmet is mandatory. Applications are accepted by lottery, with a minimum required group size of 5 participants.
