Kanazawa A Cappella Town 2026

About this event

Under the theme "A Cappella for Everyone," a cappella groups were invited from all over Japan, and simultaneous a cappella street live performances will be held throughout central Kanazawa City. The singing voices of a cappella groups will resonate at outdoor stages in Kanazawa Station, Omicho Market, Kanazawa City Hall Plaza, and more. Held over two days on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23, 2026, at various venues in central Kanazawa City, this event brings together as many as 173 a cappella groups from across the country to sound beautiful harmonies downtown. In addition to the street stages, the Kanazawa A Cappella Competition 2026 and the Final Stage will be held, allowing visitors to enjoy diverse a cappella music ranging from amateur to professional groups. On Sunday the 23rd, a "Breakin' Stage" by elementary, junior high, and high school students will also be held at the City Hall Plaza, and on Saturday the 22nd, the "Omotesando Summer Song Festival" will also be held concurrently in front of Higashi Betsuin Sanmon Gate. As a collaboration with the a cappella-themed manga "Vocalise," a digital stamp rally visiting five locations in the city will also be held from August 14 to 31.
