This year's theme is "The Togashi Clan and Nonoichi," featuring projects related to the Togashi clan, Jonkara Odorinagashi (dance procession), and stage presentations set against the historic street. For the eve festival on Tuesday, September 22, the Jonkara Odorinagashi will take place from 18:00 to 19:30, with traffic restrictions in effect. The main festival will be held on Wednesday (national holiday), September 23, from 9:00 to 15:00, also under traffic restrictions. The venue spans Honmachi Street from 2-chome to 3-chome Honmachi, Nonoichi City, and the area around Nigiwai no Sato Camino. "Rekishikon Nonoichi" will be held concurrently, and "Hikonyan" from Hikone City and "Kabukki" from Komatsu City are scheduled to appear. Numerous attractions are planned, including a Benkei Chikaraishi (strength stone) contest, calligraphy performances, taiko drumming, dance presentations, kitchen cars and food stalls, as well as Ishikawa Prefectural University fruit and processed goods sales, and street live music. It is a regional revitalization event aiming to inherit historical heritage and culture, share information, and create lively energy around the Togashi clan, which served as the political and cultural center of Kaga for about 580 years from the late Heian period.
