"FUJI-Q Disaster Prevention FESTA 2026" will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Fuji-Q Highland in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. This event aims to make disaster prevention feel more familiar, raise local disaster preparedness awareness, and contribute to building disaster-resilient communities. At the venue, visitors can enjoy exhibitions of Self-Defense Forces, fire department, and police vehicles, try on firefighter uniforms, and take commemorative photos. In addition, a wide variety of content is available for parents and children to participate in, such as workshops for decorating disaster-prevention whistles and quiz competitions to learn about actions during disasters and emergencies. Of particular note is the "Disaster Experience VR" using VR goggles, where participants can simulate situations such as falling furniture caused by earthquakes, floods, and fire outbreaks in a virtual space, learning enjoyably about protective actions and daily preparedness. Through a bucket brigade experience using colored balls, participants can experience firsthand the importance of cooperation and mutual aid during disasters. There are also disaster prevention goods trial and AED lifesaving experience corners, allowing participants to acquire practical knowledge. Participation is free, and anyone can easily join.
