The 'Daini Gakumon Festival' is held every Autumn Equinox Day (September 23, 2026) to honor the virtues of Yamagata Daini, a prominent Edo-period scholar from Kai City. The venue is Yamagata Shrine and its approach, commemorating Yamagata Daini, who is revered locally as a deity of learning. The event features portable shrines (mikoshi) and festival floats, drawing many visitors. Admission is free. The event runs from 12:00 to 16:00, but may be extended until 17:00 depending on circumstances. Access is a 20-minute walk from JR Ryuo Station or approximately a 5-minute drive from the Kofu-Showa IC on the Chuo Expressway. Parking is available.
