Koshu City hosts the annual "International Exchange Gathering" with the goal of fostering community-based international exchange. In fiscal year 2026, the event will specifically highlight wine produced from "Koshu," an indigenous Japanese grape variety. The purpose of this event is to introduce the charm of Koshu wine to people from overseas and deepen international exchange through wine. It is also hoped to provide participants with an opportunity to enjoy Koshu wine in their daily lives. In addition to a mini-seminar on the history and winemaking of Koshu grapes, participants can mingle and deepen connections while enjoying wine, grape juice, and light refreshments. Eligible participants are foreign nationals living or working in the city, as well as anyone interested in international exchange or Koshu wine. The participation fee is 1,000 yen, and the registration deadline is October 1.
