About this event
Organized by the Iizuna Heights Volunteer Guide Association, 'Let's Look for the Seven Autumn Flowers' is an event where participants search for traditional autumn flowers such as Japanese bush clover (hagi), bellflowers (kikyo), fringed pinks (nadeshiko), and golden lace (ominaeshi) while strolling across the plateau under gentle autumn breezes. You can sense the seasonal transition while observing early-blooming autumn herbs and flowers like whorled boneset (yotsubahiyodori) and Japanese scabious (matsumushiso). You might also discover hints of autumn such as cicada husks and the red berries of Japanese wintergreen (akamono). Why not take proper precautions against heatstroke and fully enjoy the beautiful nature on the plateau, where cool breezes blow despite the daytime warmth? It is also an exciting time to see the arrival of chestnut tiger butterflies (asagimadara).
