New Japan Philharmonic in Okaya City

The New Japan Philharmonic will present a performance titled 'Treasure Box of Masterpieces' at the Main Hall of Okaya Cultural Hall (Canora Hall). The program opens with Mendelssohn's overture 'Fingal's Cave' (The Hebrides), followed by British national composer Elgar's masterpiece, 'Cello Concerto', featuring cellist Hitomi Niikura as soloist, promising a deep and profound sound. In the second half, they will deliver Beethoven's 'Symphony No. 7'. Audiences can relish music filled with vibrant dynamism and driving rhythm under the fresh baton of Daichi Deguchi, who is making remarkable strides both in Japan and abroad. Preschool children are not admitted, but a childcare service is available with advance reservation.
