Against the backdrop of the high altitude, clear air, and majestic landscape of Mount Asama, the city flower 'cosmos' cultivated with great care by locals blooms colorfully, gently embracing visitors. Along the approximately 9 km 'Saku Highland Cosmos Highway' on National Route 254, 500,000 cosmos flowers bloom in profusion, and during peak season, local agricultural products are sold at rest stops along the road. In addition, at the 'Large Cosmos Garden' next to Arafune Panorama Camp Field, 1,000,000 cosmos flowers are planted, reaching their peak bloom around the time the cosmos along the Cosmos Highway finish blooming. This event is beloved as an autumn tradition where you can fully enjoy the beauty of nature.
