At "Delicious! Urugi Rice Growing Squad 2026", where you can experience rice farming in the rich nature of Urugi Village, Nagano Prefecture, you can take part in a full series of farm work from rice planting to harvesting and threshing. In addition to work in the rice paddy, the program includes harvesting purple sweet potatoes, a local specialty. Touching the soil, working up a sweat, and savoring the joy of harvest make this event a great opportunity to connect with the lifestyle and culture of Urugi Village. As part of the annual schedule, rice harvesting and purple sweet potato digging will take place on Saturday, September 26. Anyone can participate in this event, and children of high school age or younger can join accompanied by a guardian. The participation fee includes the activity fee, 10kg of freshly harvested rice (handed over at the Harvest Festival), and a souvenir for each session; lunch costs for each session are required separately. Applications are accepted via application form, phone, email, or fax.
