In the autumn of Nozawa Onsen Village, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, Nozawa Onsen Autumn Backstreet Harvest Festival will be held, marking the beginning of a heartwarming little story. As the autumn version of the Bamboo Shoot Festival held following last year, a food stall village of 10 unique stalls will gather in the backstreets of Kawarayu. With a lineup packed with autumn delicacies, dishes using mushrooms and autumn vegetables will be lined up, providing a moment that not only satisfies your appetite but also warms your heart. The combination of nostalgic backstreets and warm flavors is perfect for strolling in a yukata or a warm jacket, allowing you to enjoy the autumn atmosphere that makes walking around pleasant. Behind the stalls lies the dedication of local staff and craftspeople, sparking conversations where you can appreciate the passion of the makers. During the event, the Nagasaka Gondola Lift will operate for the autumn season, offering an aerial walk to enjoy panoramic views of the Hokushin Gogaku mountains, sea of clouds, and vibrant autumn foliage. The event will basically be held even in the rain except in cases of thunder and heavy rain; any cancellation will be announced via cable broadcast. As vehicle traffic will be closed in sections around the venue, visitors must use nearby public parking lots.
