About this event
This is a memorial service to mourn the victims of the Tajimi Air Raid and pray for peace. Many citizens lost their lives in the strafing by US military aircraft that occurred in Tajimi City on July 15, 1945. At this memorial service, commemorative events with prayers for peace will be held, including picture-story shows (kamishibai), violin performances by children, the Tajimi Utagoe Chorus, a harmonica circle, and folk music groups. It serves as an opportunity to pass down the tragic history of the Tajimi Air Raid to future generations and reflect once again on the preciousness of peace.
