📍 Tajimi, Gifu

About this event

Tajimi Matsuri features an impressive warrior procession (Musha Gyoretsu) centered on Lord Tajimi Kuninaga, along with samurai warriors associated with Mino Province and gorgeous noblewomen. In front of and behind them, energetic citizen groups parade lively while performing music and dance. For the 54th festival, Hikaru Oshiro and Kaoru Nagata from MAG!C☆PRINCE will appear as special guests to liven up the venue. The warrior procession and parade will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM from the Tajimi City Hall Main Building to the area around Tajimi Station. At the Festival Plaza, performances such as Japanese taiko drumming, traditional Japanese dance, and modern dance by citizen groups will take place across three locations—the Station North Stage, Station South Stage, and Toshin Stage—from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. At the Yatai Food Stall Plaza on the west side of the Tajimi City Hall Main Building, various shops will open from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM, making the festival even livelier. Furthermore, as a specially sponsored event, 'Oribe no Jin' will be held at Tajimi Bridge Yume Hiroba from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, featuring Oribe Chaya tea stalls, a live stage, a game corner, carpentry experiences, and a live paint battle. As a concurrent event, 'Let's Ride a JSDF Vehicle!', where visitors can try boarding Japan Self-Defense Forces vehicles and trying on uniforms, will take place on the riverbed on the south side of Tajimi Bridge from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Additionally, at 'Chikasan-an' on Honmachi Oribe Street, the 'Chikasan-an Tea Ceremony' will be held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to casually experience the traditional culture of tea ceremony, with a participation fee of 1,000 yen.
