About this event
This is the annual grand festival of Funamoriyama Takenami Shrine held in Ena City, Gifu Prefecture. Highlights of the festival include the dedication of the Jubako Shishi (lion dance), designated as a Tangible Folk Cultural Property of Ena City, and the dedication of the elegant Urayasu no Mai dance. The Shinto rituals begin at 10:00 AM. It is a precious opportunity to see locally rooted traditional performing arts up close and feel firsthand the atmosphere of this ancient festival.
