Held primarily at Kakamigahara Civic Park on Monday (national holiday), October 12, 2026, the "Sports Genki Festival" is a sports festival where everyone in the family, from children to adults, can enjoy physical activity together. On the day of the event, the opening ceremony starts at 8:30 AM, and various activities will unfold across Civic Park and its surrounding areas. In the "Sports Experience Classes" requiring advance registration, participants can try a wide variety of sports such as hockey, handball, judo, soft tennis, rubber-ball baseball, badminton, kendo, track and field, softball, basketball, soccer, rugby, and volleyball. A cheer dance experience by the Tokai Gakuin University Cheerleading Club will also be held. These experience classes are intended for beginner children, with participation allowed in up to 3 sports. Walk-in activities requiring no advance registration are also abundant: at "Sporec Plaza," visitors can experience light sports and recreation such as sports galacky and Molkky, with prizes awarded to those who try 8 or more activities. At "FC Gifu Plaza," visitors can enjoy kick target games hosted by FC Gifu. Additionally, a Radio Calisthenics class will be held on the outdoor stage of Civic Park from 9:30 AM. While some events require advance application, many programs permit walk-in participation on the day, offering a great opportunity to casually experience sports.
