About this event

The "Yaramaika Music Festival in Hamamatsu" is a citizen-organized music festival that further enlivens Hamamatsu, a city of music. It will be held for two days on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026, across 12 stage venues around JR Hamamatsu Station. A total of 1,374 performers will showcase various genres of music. 320 groups of artists, both professional and amateur, gathered from within and outside the prefecture, will deliver passionate live performances in central Hamamatsu, including Kitara, the Bus Terminal underground area, Soramo, the rooftop of the main building of Entetsu Department Store, and Zaza City Hamamatsu Central Plaza. Held annually in October and attracting over 20,000 visitors, this event is free to watch. With features such as the "U-18 Stage" by high school bands, musical instrument trial sessions, and collaborative projects with "Hamamatsu Jazz Week," it offers enjoyable content even for non-music fans. Planned and operated by a voluntary citizen executive committee, the event aims to foster interaction across communities and generations through music with the broad understanding and cooperation of local residents, local government, commercial districts, schools, businesses, various organizations, and the media.
