The 25th Exhibition on War for Peace: Understanding the Tragedies of War and Learning the Value of Peace, held at the Mishima Citizen Lifelong Learning Center, is an exhibition designed to convey the horrors of war and teach the preciousness of peace. The exhibition covers a wide range of topics, including photo panels on 'War in Mishima' and 'Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Atomic Bombs and Humanity,' 'Drawings of Atomic Bomb Damage by Survivors and High School Students,' 'War and Children,' 'War Relics,' 'Stop Building a Nation That Wages War,' Okinawa War photographs 'Okinawa / Henoko,' 'A Peaceful World Through Article 9,' 'What Japan Did in Asian Countries,' and 'Picture Postcards and Senryu Poems.' In particular, from 1:30 PM on Sunday, August 23, an event titled 'Passing Down War Experiences' is scheduled, including a firsthand account of strafing attacks. The event is organized by the Mishima Citizens' Group to Eliminate Nuclear Weapons and Build Peace, co-organized by the Mishima City Anti-A & H-Bomb Council, and supported by Mishima City, the Mishima City Board of Education, and the Mishima City Neighborhood Association Federation.
