About this event

Celebrating its 17th year, the "Tsukiyo no Chakai (Moonlit Night Tea Gathering)" lets you enjoy tea made from fresh shoots picked at the Moonlit Night Tea Picking Event on May 2. After checking in at the Gyotoku Memorial Hall of Dainippon Hotokusha, visitors will watch videos on "Tea and Daily Life" and the "Moonlit Night Tea Picking Event." Afterwards, in the Great Auditorium, you can savor about 3 kinds of tea paired with live classical piano music performed by Motohiro Sato, a pianist from Kakegawa. Finally, at the tea seating in Kakegawa Castle Goten Palace, you can enjoy the Kakegawa tea brand "Tenba" served by tea farmers and tea masters, as well as "Cha-rine Marron," which won the top prize at the 4th Kakegawa Matcha Sweets Contest 2025. You can also enjoy conversations with tea farmers and masters that are rarely encountered in daily life, exhibits on tea and living, and ambient music performances.
