Tsukimi no Sato Summer Vacation Insect Lab

About this event

In collaboration with the Iwata City Ryuyo Insect Nature Observation Park, this summer vacation event brings together a wide variety of insects at the Fukuroi City Tsukimi no Sato Gakuyukan. Visitors can enjoy a full day of looking, learning, and experiencing everything about insects. Exhibited insects are scheduled to include the Amami giant stick insect, giant stag beetle, Japanese rhinoceros beetle, rainbow stag beetle, and giant Asian mantis. Inside the exhibition venue, a special program called 'Insect Walk' will be held, allowing participants to search for real insects around the facility and in the park together with Konchu-kun (eligible for elementary to junior high school students, first 15 participants). Additionally, an 'Entertaining Insect Talk' and insect quiz will be presented by Konchu-kun, the director of the Iwata City Ryuyo Insect Nature Observation Park (eligible for elementary to junior high school students, first 20 participants). An exhibition admission ticket is required to participate in these special programs.
