Tokai Bus 110th Anniversary Project: Bus Marche 2026

About this event

Held to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the founding of Tokai Jidosha, 'Bus Marche 2026' is an exchange event connecting the local community and public transportation with the aim of helping people feel closer to buses. It creates opportunities to experience various daily-life initiatives related to local charms, child-rearing support, education, and more, deepening ties with the region and leading to regional revitalization. The venue is packed with content that adults and children alike can enjoy, including 'BUS LABO' where you can enjoy how-to-ride-a-bus lessons, safety workshops, and a traffic safety stamp rally; 'Great Gathering of Working Vehicles' where ladder trucks, fire engines, ambulances, and more gather; 'ANIMAL LABO' where you can interact with sea creatures like Cape penguins and small animals; and 'MOBILITY LABO' featuring displays of route buses and bonnet buses, uniform cap photo spots, and steering wheel experiences. In addition, 'HINATA FOOD' with gathering kitchen cars, sales of fresh local vegetables and fruits, and 'IZU BASE' will also set up booths. Furthermore, stage events will feature live performances, Eisa dance, balloon performances, brass band performances, dance, and more, with a bingo tournament held at the end. An experiential bus tour for parents and children is also planned, allowing visitors to head to the venue while fully enjoying the charms of Izu.
