Make Tree Nameplates and Enjoy the Mountain! Mt. Ozatsuryu Tree Nameplate Installation & Trekking

About this event

This is an event where participants install tree nameplates (wooden boards with tree names and illustrations drawn by participants) on trees in Mt. Ozatsuryu. The trekking course features an elevation gain of 230 meters and can be completed in about 1 hour round-trip, making it accessible and safe even for beginners. Participants can also enjoy explanations about trees and mountains by local guides, as well as nature play activities. During the event, participants first paint the tree nameplates at the Kawanehon Town Mountain Village Development Center, then travel by microbus to the Mt. Ozatsuryu trailhead. From the trailhead, participants head toward the summit while installing the tree nameplates, and at the summit, they listen to talks about trees and the mountains while enjoying lunch. After descending the mountain, the event will conclude and disband at the Mountain Village Development Center. Participants must prepare their own lunch (bento).
