Aigi Tunnel Group: "Forest Beer Hall"

The "Forest Beer Hall" will be held again this year at the Aigi Tunnel Group, a Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property. Along the Shonai River Gorge, only one of the red-brick tunnels (Tunnel No. 3), preserved just as it was when opened in 1900 (Meiji 33), is open to the public, allowing guests to enjoy beer and food in this special space. You can spend a blissful time inside the tunnel, which feels about 5 degrees cooler even on extremely hot days, surrounded by beautiful nature. Why not enjoy a delightful time while gazing at or relaxing inside the tunnel? Live music events are also held on select days. Please note that walking completely through all tunnels is not permitted. For exploring the tunnels, please enjoy the special public openings held in spring and autumn.
