About this event

The Torch Relay for the 20th Asian Games (2026 / Aichi-Nagoya) will also be held in Anjo City, the competition venue for the modern pentathlon and softball events. This torch relay connects the sacred flame—carrying the passionate wishes of everyone involved in the games—via torch toward the opening ceremony, delivering it to the cauldron at the main venue. In Anjo City, the torch relay is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, starting around 11:00 AM. The running route goes from Anjo City Hall to the Anjo City Center Base Facility Anforet Wishes Square (Negagoto Hiroba). A total of 10 groups of runners, including PR runners, publicly selected local runners, and organizing committee-recommended runners, will carry the torch. Spectating along the roadside is permitted, but please take thorough measures against heatstroke on the day and pay attention to traffic restrictions. In the torch relay finish area, events recruiting spectators were also held.
