The "Late Summer Nankichi Festival: Nankichi Niimi Dream Memorial Festival 2026" will be held to honor Nankichi Niimi, who achieved his dream of becoming a children's book author in Anjo City. The event features "Nankichi Mystery Dream Quest" touring spots associated with Nankichi Niimi, a concert featuring a rare restored Russian Becker piano (restoring the piano that was in the school auditorium during Nankichi Niimi's teaching days), and joint performances with chamber music. There will also be guided rickshaw tours exploring Nankichi's history, readings of Nankichi's works, and concerts held at Nankichi's former boarding house. Furthermore, stage performances by citizens, a market, and a children's play corner (inflatable play equipment, Nankichi magnet puzzle, Nankichi giant karuta) will be provided, offering content that families and friends can enjoy all day long. A variety of programs are planned, including trial sessions and mini-tournaments for the historical card game "Hi!story," shopping street tours, and a Mikawa Uncle Encyclopedia trading card experience.
