JGSDF 10th Band Concert in Nishio

The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) 10th Band will hold a concert at the Main Hall of Nishishin Cultural Hall Chachatto Hall (Nishio City Cultural Hall) in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture. This concert aims to provide an opportunity to learn about JGSDF activities and connect to the future through encounters with an unknown world. The conductor will be 2nd Lieutenant Yushi Oka, Commander of the 10th Band. Admission is free with all unreserved seating, but a numbered ticket is required. Wheelchair seating and parent-child viewing rooms are reserved seating. Numbered ticket distribution begins at 10:00 AM on Sunday, July 12, 2026, limited to up to 4 tickets per person (while supplies last). Distribution locations are Nishishin Cultural Hall Chachatto Hall, Nishio City Cultural Exchange Center, Isshiki-cho Community Center, and the GETTIIS online ticket service. Reservations via GETTIIS incur a system usage fee and ticketing fee. Formed in 1959 (Showa 34), the 10th Band operates as the band for the 10th Division responsible for defense, security, and disaster relief across the six Tokai-Hokuriku prefectures. In addition to performing to boost troop morale and playing at SDF ceremonies, it hosts regular concerts, music festivals, and chamber music concerts, provides musical support for local public events, offers technical guidance to junior and senior high school brass band members, and performs joint concerts. Serving as a 'bridge' connecting citizens and the SDF, it conducts performance activities with a strong focus on community interaction.
