20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026) Torch Relay (Shinshiro City Venue)

About this event

As part of the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), the largest sports festival in Asia, a torch relay will be held in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture. At the Shinshiro General Park venue, the torch relay will begin after a kick-off event featuring Hajou Taiko drumming and lighting of the sacred flame. Participating in this torch relay are PR runners including comedian and Shinshiro City Tourism Ambassador Murakami (Magical Lovely), Shinshiro City Hall employee Adriana Masuko, and Japan National Cycling Team development coach Hideto Nakane, alongside members of the Togo Mountain Bike Club, publicly selected runners, and Organizing Committee runners. The torch relay is scheduled to begin at 15:00, and the entire event will conclude at 15:30. Parking at the Shinshiro General Park venue will be available from 13:00 to 16:30, but spectators watching the torch relay must enter using entrances other than the park's North Gate. This torch relay is an important event to build excitement for the Asian Games and will be a special day for local residents and all involved.
