Tokai Autumn Festival 2026

About this event

The Tokai Autumn Festival is Tokai City's largest event, bringing together the Industrial Festival, Consumer Plaza, Cultural Festival, Agricultural Festival, International Day, and more under one roof. Created through the united efforts of commerce, industry, agriculture workers, students, and local residents, this festival is packed with activities such as sales of local specialties and agricultural produce from Tokai City and its sister cities, float displays, and stage events. At the Civic Gymnasium, cultural works created by citizens are also exhibited, making for two days packed with autumn delights. In the past, Owari Yokosuka floats presented mechanical doll performances (karakuri) and directional turns (donten), receiving applause from many spectators. In addition, the spectacular sight of 9 floats gathering together is one of the highlights. Visitors can also enjoy dance performances such as Tora-mai (tiger dance) and Yosakoi Naruto Odori, as well as grilled Pacific saury served in support of Kamaishi's reconstruction.
