Tokai City Culture Festival

About this event

The Tokai City Culture Festival is held as part of 'Tokai Autumn Festival 2026' as a venue for showcasing cultural activity achievements and fostering exchange. At the venue, the literary arts section will exhibit winning works from haiku and senryu contests (general and high school divisions), while the fine arts section will display submitted works of painting, calligraphy, photography, and crafts. In addition, visitors can enjoy a tanka exhibition, stamp and etegami (illustrated postcard) exhibition, flower arrangement exhibition, citizens' tea ceremony, plants/bonsai exhibition, children's art exhibition, elementary and junior high school calligraphy exhibition, and an Okinawa hands-on learning corner. On the 2nd day, a small autumn concert will also be held, and awards such as the Mayor's Award will be presented at an award ceremony for outstanding works in the literary arts (excluding tanka) and fine arts sections. It is an event where you can engage with various genres of artworks and appreciate culture.
