Held in Chita City, Aichi Prefecture, the "Chita Umeko Marathon" is a marathon race set around the nature-rich Sori Green and Flower Interaction Park and Lake Sori, characterized by a tough course with many ups and downs. With numerous slopes featured throughout the course, it is challenging enough to be described by the saying, "The one who loves slopes conquers the race." Before the finish line, a breathtaking view awaits the runners, making them forget their fatigue. The event features marathon divisions of 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, as well as an untimed 2.8 km jogging division, welcoming participants across a wide range of ages. Awards are presented in each division, particularly for the 10 km and 5 km marathon races. To access the venue, a free shuttle bus is available from Asakura Station on the Meitetsu Tokoname Line via Chita City Hall. Parking is also available, but the use of public transportation is recommended due to limited parking spaces.
