SDGs Fashion Show "IWAKURA SDGs COLLECTION 2026"

About this event

Organized by Iwakura City, the "SDGs Fashion Show 'IWAKURA SDGs COLLECTION 2026'" is an event that deepens understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promotes sustainable fashion as an accessible initiative. Outfits that consider the environment and society will be showcased, such as utilizing secondhand clothes and reusing or upcycling garments inherited from parents or grandparents. This event is held within the "Iwakura Civic Fureai Festival 2026" as a collaborative project with Nihon Fukushi University. Applications are also open for performers to walk the runway as models and present their unique sustainable fashion, and participation with parents, children, or friends is welcome. On the day of the show, a schedule is planned from model gathering to rehearsals, showtime, and dismissal, giving participants the opportunity to showcase their styled outfits. The purpose of the event is to propose a sustainable lifestyle through fashion as one specific SDG initiative.
