Ise Futami Lantern Festival 2026

About this event

Held at Futaminoura Beach in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, "Ise Futami Lantern 2026" is a magical event where 1,000 lanterns float into the night sky overlooking the famous Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks). Participants create their own original lanterns by freely drawing pictures or wishes with crayons on dedicated washi Japanese paper included in the lantern kit. Using LED lights, it can be enjoyed safely without fire. Approximately 50 stalls from across the country, including local eateries and kitchen cars, will be present at the venue, offering food, drinks, goods, and workshops. Special stalls by Osaka's popular shop "Beer to Hitsuji" and Mie's limited craft beer "Mie Beer" will also appear, allowing visitors to indulge in gourmet offerings. Marking its third edition since its inaugural event in 2024, this year will be held on the largest scale ever.
