About this event

"JAPAN PRIDE 2026: Craft and Living as We Envision It Now" will be held at Green Park Santo in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture. Aiming to provide a deep understanding of traditional crafts, this event centers around hands-on artisan workshops. A variety of workshops that parents and children can participate in together are offered, including lacquerware painting, interlocking wooden coaster making, magewappa (bentwood ware) making, and tea blending. In addition to craft shops and food & beverage stalls, a kids' corner by Nagahama's "tsumiki salon KINDI" will be set up with various creative elements for children to enjoy. The event aims to promote traditional crafts to the next generation by providing opportunities for makers and users to interact. The event runs over two days with free admission. Camp-in tickets are also sold, and a campfire event where makers and users can mingle at night is scheduled.
