Held as part of the "Amanohashidate Machi Akari" event, the "Chion-ji Temple Sanmon Japanese Umbrella Illumination" creates a mystical atmosphere with neatly arranged, illuminated traditional Japanese umbrellas (wagasa) at the lit-up Chion-ji Temple Sanmon Gate. This event can be enjoyed together with the Amanohashidate beach illumination, night cruises, fireworks, and more. In particular, Thursday, July 22, Sunday, August 8, and Sunday, August 22 are designated as special days when the Chion-ji Temple Sanmon Japanese Umbrella Illumination takes place. The hours are from 18:00 to 21:00. Please take this opportunity to enjoy a relaxing moment healed by the warm light of the Japanese umbrella lanterns and the beautiful nighttime scenery unique to Amanohashidate.
