Izumi City will hold the "Izumi City 70th Anniversary Commemorative Learning, Connection, and Experience Festa" on August 29 (Saturday) and 30 (Sunday), 2026. Packed with hands-on experiences and workshops for both children and adults to enjoy, this event allows you to discover new hobbies and experience connections with people. Within the festa, the "Izumi City Cultural Experience Square" and "Izumi City Plaza Free Rental Room Trial Classes" will be held. At the "Izumi City Cultural Experience Square," you can enjoy diverse cultural experiences such as flower arrangement (ikebana), Japanese fan making, western flower arrangement, UV resin crafting, calligraphy, bonsai making, portrait drawing, pottery (plate painting experience), and tree ring strap making. In addition, picture-story shows by Momoyama Gakuin University students and musical instrument performances by the cultural association will be presented on a special stage. At the "Izumi City Plaza Free Rental Room Trial Classes," one-day free trial classes will be held by teachers who regularly teach classes there. While some classes require material fees, many classes can be joined for free. This festa will be an excellent opportunity to learn, connect, and experience while feeling the culture and local charms of Izumi City.
