About this event
Kobe Marathon 2026 is a marathon event scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 15, 2026, organized by Hyogo Prefecture, Kobe City, and the Hyogo Athletics Association. For this 14th edition, the new course introduced in the 2025 event will continue to be used. The starting point is in front of Kobe City Hall, the turnaround point is Okura Beach in Akashi City, and the finish line is at Kobe Harborland. This course offers an attractive route combining both urban and coastal views of Kobe and Akashi, allowing runners to race against scenic backdrops. After cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event is set to proceed, anticipating participation from many runners. In preparation for the race, various announcements have been released, including the appointment of PR and Challenge Ambassadors, designs for finisher towels and completion medals, and traffic regulation notices. Runner registration guidance and pre-orders for cheering bento lunch boxes are also underway as preparations advance to enliven the event.
