About this event

At Matsubara Hachiman Shrine, renowned for the Nada no Kenka Matsuri (Nada Fighting Festival), a soul-infusing consecration ceremony for the newly crafted Kiba festival float (yatai) and the traditional Ship's Rope Dedication (Funa no Tsuna Honō) will be conducted. In this sacred ritual, spirits are enshrined into the newly prepared float, followed by the traditional rope dedication ceremony. Breathing with local history and tradition, this festival brings many people together in spirit as one of the pivotal events of the Banshu Autumn Festivals.
