About this event
The 6th Special Exhibition "Playrooms Open Art, Amagasaki Children Brighten Time: Rintaro Hara + Yu Hara" by the art unit Rintaro Hara + Yu Hara will be held at Amagasaki Kaimei rooms. Active in art festivals nationwide, the two artists will create a space inspired by "Kaimei rooms" from an artistic perspective, using installations, paintings, and sculptures. Through "experiencing" the displayed works, visitors can discover new joys of art and the charm of Amagasaki. It is an exhibition that everyone from children to adults can enjoy. The art unit, formed by Rintaro Hara, who creates kinetic installations, and Yu Hara, who develops pictorial expressions centered on oil paintings and illustrations, began full-fledged unit activities in 2015. They have developed hands-on, experiential works themed around "playing grounds" where children and adults can play together, such as table tennis areas, water play areas, giant sugoroku (board game) fields, and giant lanterns. In the past, they have continuously participated in the "Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale," "Setouchi Triennale," and "Northern Alps Art Festival."
