The 2nd "Hajimari no Art" (Art of Beginnings) Exhibition

About this event

This is an exhibition of open-call artworks across all genres, created with the fresh sensibilities of "beginnings." Around 100 works will be on display, created by artists selected through a general open call, as well as guest artists including volunteers from the art clubs of Hanshin and Tan'yu High Schools and volunteers from the Nishinomiya City Association for Supporting Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Ikuseikai). The genres of works are diverse, including paintings, acrylics, oil paintings, canvas prints, colored pencil drawings, illustrated picture books, original envelopes, and ceramics. Visitors can view artworks born from various forms of "beginnings," such as those by people starting something new or those who have just begun making art. Having the opportunity to exhibit works in the spacious setting of a public gallery is precious, making this an exhibition where visitors can also cheer on creative activities that are just beginning and expanding.
