NHK Nodo Jiman in Tanbasasayama City

'NHK Nodo Jiman' will be held in Tanbasasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture, for the first time in 8 years. Under the theme of 'Everyone's stage in your town', this program broadcasts local residents' singing voices nationwide, where around 20 pairs/individuals of amateur singers aged junior high school and older who advanced from the preliminary rounds will stand on the stage of the nationwide broadcast. The preliminary round will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, with results expected to be announced around 5:30 PM on the same day. The main broadcast event will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Tanbasasayama City Den-en Symphony Hall, with doors opening at 11:00 AM, starting at 11:40 AM, and scheduled to end at 1:20 PM. On the day, it will be broadcast live from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM across terrestrial television, AM radio, FM radio, and international broadcasts, with simultaneous streaming and catch-up viewing available on NHK's internet service 'NHK ONE'. Guests include enka singer Mitsuko Nakamura and actor/musician Kanji Ishimaru, with announcer Kozo Takase serving as host. Audience members to share the live singing and excitement in the venue are also being recruited, with a lottery held in the event of high application volumes. The application deadline for contestants is Sunday, July 26, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at 11:59 PM, and the deadline for general audience applications is Sunday, August 9, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at 11:59 PM.
