Memorable Summer Festival 2026

Hosted by the Local Moriagetai Executive Committee, 'Memorable Summer Festival 2026' will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, on the south side of Sotobori Green Space in Yamatokoriyama City. This summer festival is packed with activities for the whole family, including performances by local junior high school brass bands, a water play corner for children, multiple booths, and a 'Kids' Singing Contest'. Of particular note is the 'Kids' Singing Contest' held from 16:00 to 18:00, where preschoolers through junior high school students can showcase their singing on stage. Prizes are prepared for advance applicants, and same-day walk-in participation is also open up to high school students and adults. Food and drink booths from local eateries in the city will also be set up to liven up the festival. The event runs from 14:00 to 20:00, cancelled in case of stormy weather and held in light rain. The application deadline for the 'Kids' Singing Contest' is Tuesday, August 18.
