The '15th All Japan High School Railway SUMMER CONFERENCE (Tetsu-Sama 2026 in Oji Town, Nara Prefecture)' is a convention where high school students propose and exchange ideas on regional revitalization centered around railways. This year, it will be held in Oji Town, Nara Prefecture, an ancient transport hub located close to Osaka. Focusing on areas along the JR Yamatoji Line, Wakayama Line, Manyo Mahoroba Line, and Kintetsu Tawaramoto Line and Ikoma Line, high school students will present innovative project proposals on themes such as 'Nara SLOW & LOOP' and the Oji Town vision of 'A Town You Want to Guide People To' utilizing the Kintetsu Tawaramoto Line: Discover Unprecedented Tourism Resources!. There are planning, photography, and video divisions, with supplementary prizes for outstanding schools such as the right to design headmarks. There are two types of participation: on-site and online, mainly consisting of high school students who are interested in railways and can propose revitalization projects. Diverse members can participate, including not only railway research clubs but also student councils, newspaper clubs, geography/history clubs, and voluntary teams. Referencing past cases, it will be an opportunity to deeply explore regional revitalization and the role of railways.
