To increase local residents' interest in art, Sango Town is holding the "2026 (39th) Sango Town Art Festival Art Exhibition." This art exhibition is an open competition covering ceramics, photography, calligraphy, and painting, with many works submitted from both inside and outside the town. In addition, the highly popular "Children's Art Exhibition" for elementary and junior high school students will be held concurrently, offering an opportunity to enjoy the artistic autumn. The Children's Art Exhibition is open to elementary and junior high school students residing in the town, limited to the first 70 applicants, with no entry fee. There is no judging, but participants will receive a book card. Photography and painting works must be framed, and calligraphy works must be framed or mounted. Artwork drop-off will take place on Sunday, September 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or on specified alternative dates, and artwork pickup will be on Sunday, September 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please take this opportunity to experience a diverse array of artworks together with your family and friends.
