Held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Horyuji i-Center, the 'Horyuji i-Center Summer Festival' is the perfect event for making summer memories. At the venue, you can enjoy shaved ice, food truck offerings, and workshops such as making plastic bottle candles. In addition, in the multipurpose hall on the 2nd floor, there will be tips and advice on Horyuji Temple by volunteer guides, rakugo comic storytelling, and a talk session about the currently popular Toyotomi brothers. At night, you can enjoy various types of fireworks—including handheld sparklers, fountain fireworks, and Niagara sparkler falls—coloring the summer night sky. With somen noodles and Tatsuta-age fried chicken for sale, water play, and traditional festival game booths, it is packed with activities you can enjoy all day long without getting bored.
