About this event

A special exhibition of the 'Prayer Trilogy' embroidery art, completed over a period of 5 years with heartfelt prayers by embroidery artist Mayumi Hoshino, will be held at the World Heritage site Nachisan Seiganto-ji Temple. Active both in Japan and abroad, Hoshino is an honorary member of the Royal Society of British Artists and has exhibited works at locations such as the UN Geneva Headquarters and UNESCO Paris Headquarters. In this exhibition, visitors can experience this delicate yet powerful world of embroidery art. Additionally, the rare 'Nachi Panoramic Map' depicting the appearance of Nachi during the Edo period will be displayed simultaneously, offering a special space where the history of Mount Nachi blends with contemporary art. Please take this opportunity during the 9-day exhibition to experience art and history on site.
