The opera performance "Sawakami Opera in Nachikatsuura: From Kumano" will be held in Nachikatsuura Town, Wakayama Prefecture. This performance will stage the opera "La Boheme" composed by Giacomo Puccini. Set in the working-class neighborhoods of 19th-century Paris, this work is a human drama depicting the hopes, conflicts, and poignant love of young artists. Centered on the romantic love story of the poet Rodolfo and the seamstress Mimi, the way of life of youth in that era is woven alongside touching melodies. The performance can be enjoyed in the original language with Japanese subtitles and piano accompaniment. The local resident choir "TUNA GOOD (Tsunagu)" will also perform, aiming to promote opera culture rooted in the local community.
