About this event
A special time exploring the Kurayoshi White Wall Storehouses together with watercolor painter Row Takeuchi. Participants will stroll through the Kurayoshi White Wall Storehouses—which serve as the setting for Takeuchi's artwork and are also drawing attention as a filming location for the movie "A Distant Neighborhood" (Harukana Machi e) releasing in October—accompanied by explanations from a tourist guide. While comparing the actual scenery with Takeuchi's paintings, you can learn about the compositional secrets and behind-the-scenes creation stories embedded in the artworks. This tour offers a nostalgic experience where painting and reality intersect, and can be enjoyed leisurely over about 2 hours. The participation fee includes refreshments/cafe costs.
