Matsue Suitoro 2026 is a light event that illuminates the area around Matsue Castle. Visitors can enjoy the magical scenery woven by light and shadow unique to the castle town of Matsue. Lights will be lit at National Treasure Matsue Castle and its surrounding areas, with the theme of 'Quiet Light' and 'Light of Hope' suitable for autumn in Matsue. During the event period, evening food stalls and a night fox fair (Yogitsune Ennichi) will also be held, adding to the lively atmosphere. Handmade lantern contests and exhibitions of artist works will also take place, allowing visitors to experience diverse light art. The event will be held on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays during the period, operating as special night hours. Information on traffic restrictions and free shuttle buses will also be provided.
