70th Anniversary Miffy Exhibition

About this event

Held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Miffy's creation, the '70th Anniversary Miffy Exhibition' showcases original drawings and materials from the Miffy series under the theme 'More and More Miffy.' In this exhibition, for the first time in Japan, original drawings and sketches from all 32 picture books in the Miffy series will be displayed all together, including original drawings making their Japan debut from 'Miffy Sleeps Over' (Usako-chan Otomari ni Iku) and 'Miffy's Sweet Grandmother' (Usako-chan no Daisuki na Obachan). In addition, early painting works, paperback book cover designs, and poster designs will be exhibited, exploring the charm of Miffy and creator Dick Bruna through more than 200 works and materials. Introducing Miffy's appeal from all angles—including heartwarming stories, adorable characters, rhythmic language, and graphical colors, lines, and compositions—this is an exhibition where visitors can love Miffy even more deeply and enjoyably.
