About this event
Under the theme "From public assistance to mutual aid. From tourism to relationships. Transmitting town planning that "shares population" from Kotohira—which is neither relocation nor mere tourism—this summit is held for the first time in 3 years and is the largest sharing economy conference in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. Over 40 practitioners from across Japan will take the stage, engaging in dialogue and practice to implement the sharing economy as a "system of mutual aid" in the community, with the small town of Kotohira as the stage. It aims for residents, local businesses, government, and related populations / related companies to co-create the next actions rooted in the town's history, culture, and daily life. In the keynote speech, Representative Director of the Sharing Economy Association Anju Ishiyama will take the stage, and the main session will deepen discussions under the theme "Dual-location living and related populations considered from the philosophy of mutual aid." In 6 subcommittees, discussions toward concrete implementation in community development will unfold around diverse themes such as "Share x Travel," "Share x Work Style," "Share x Regional HR Department," "Share x Expressive Activities," "Share x Local Zebra," and "Share x Education & Inquiry." A pre-night event, networking party, World Cafe, and special tours are also scheduled, giving participants an opportunity to generate new actions toward solving regional challenges while feeling the charms of Kotohira firsthand.
