About this event

Furusato Kaigi Fair 2026, one of Japan's largest relocation events, will be held over two days on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Tokyo International Forum. At this fair, you can directly consult with local representatives about living and working in regions of interest. From Kochi Prefecture, participants include relocation concierges as well as Shimanto City, Geisei Village, Tano Town, Nankoku City, Tosa Reihoku Region, Niyodogawa Town, Nakatosa Town, Hidaka Village, Shimanto Town, and Oku-Shimanto Region. Everyone is welcome, from those who have just vaguely begun considering rural life to those who have already decided to relocate. Over 700 local governments and organizations from across the country will exhibit at the venue, providing various information on relocation. Consultation booths covering a diverse range of themes will be set up, such as vacant houses, child-rearing, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, telework, entrepreneurship/business succession, workation, outdoors, tradition/culture, and Local Revitalization Co-op. In addition, the Nationwide Hometown Marche, local unique workshops, and seminars will also be held, offering encounters and discoveries that could be the first step toward relocation. Admission and consultations are free.
